Blackberry ponders firing 40% of workers - Economic

Blackberry is preparing a major restructuring in the business, which will include the reduction of the number of employees.

According to sources

advanced Dow Jones Newswires, the maker of smartphones is considering weight loss in 40% to personnel structure. The Blackberry employs about 12,000 people.

This restructuring relates to the loss of market share for Apple, thanks to the iPhone and iPad, following well ahead of Canadian Blackberry, as well as Samsung.
