The BlackBerry has been examining various possibilities for the future of the company, but that does not stop the technological “meet schedule” and launch a new smartphone. The BlackBerry Z30 is similar in appearance to the Z10, but the specifications were improved in comparison with that model.
The Super AMOLED screen is five inches with a resolution of 1.280×720 pixels, an evolution in size but represents a loss of quality in the number of pixels per inch. The Canadian company did not want to tamper with the resolution not to create a fragmentation of the few applications that already exist in the BlackBerry World. The processor has evolved into a Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core 1.7 Ghz, RAM is 2GB and graphics processing unit is an Adreno 320 – similar to that which exists in the Google Nexus 4. The internal storage is 16GB, but can be increased via a microSD card. There is Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, support for 4G and a 2,880 mAh battery to support all requirements. Highlighting the fact that the battery is not removable, unlike what happened in the BlackBerry Z10.
In terms of software the company also introduced some new features that are included in BB OS 10.2, as the BlackBerry Priority Hub, a version of the aggregator that highlights posts the content received most important to the user. The new version of the software will also allow you to access a preview of incoming messages right on the screen to unlock the phone.
BlackBerry 10.2 will be available for the Z10, Q10 and Q5 during the month of October according writes Engadget. For Portugal there is not a date and a sales price set, but the domestic market should receive the new smartphone before Christmas. The UK is among the first markets to have access to the Z30, what will happen next week.
