The former president of Pepsi and former Apple CEO John Sculley, InfoTrends opened in 2012
Former Apple CEO John Sculley, seems to consider buying the BlackBerry maker, according to the newspaper The Globe and Mail.
In an interview with, Sculley said to be a former BlackBerry user and said he believes there is a future for the company.
“But without experienced people who have gone through this type of business, and without a strategic plan, it would be really challenging,” said Sculley.
BlackBerry, which is based in the city of Waterloo, Canada, came to dominate the smartphone market, but eventually succumbed to the advances of Apple and Android devices and was offered for sale.
Besides Scully, companies SAP, Cisco, Google, Lenovo and co-founders of BlackBerry, Mike Lazaridis and Doug Fregin also came to make offers to buy the company.
Sculley was president of PepsiCo to become Apple’s CEO in 1983, he took his seat until 1993. This period became known for firing Steve Jobs during a company restructuring.
