The co-founder of BlackBerry, Mike Lazaridis, this week handed a document in federal agency Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States which shows that increased its stake in company. The executive, who has held a stake of 5.7% in the Canadian company, will now have a market share of 8%.
The document also reveals that Lazaridis and another co-founder of BlackBerry, Douglas Fregin, signed an agreement to explore the possibility of jointly presenting an offer to purchase the company.
On the other hand, a rumor began circulating on the web suggests that potentially interested in buying the BlackBerry, Fairfax Financial Holdings , is having difficulty obtaining the 4.7 billion dollars that originally proposed.
