During our tests in an environment with poor lighting, the unit had a regular performance and not surprised. This means that the Z30 should serve well for casual snapshots and the day to day, but there is a device geared for photography lovers.

price and cost-effective

advancement of BlackBerry with the Z30 is undeniable. The phone is very beautiful and comfortable, even with its very large screen size, but also brings the main callus predecessors Z10 and Q10: the lack of applications. After all, the shop BB World presented no major breakthrough since the last release of the brand here and Z30 also brought no new aplitivos native of great expression.

Another factor that should weigh on consumer choice when the unit land here is the price. Whereas the Z10, current top line of the company in Brazil, came to R $ 2500, it is quite likely that the new device exceeds this value in his debut. Therefore, it is up to the consumer to decide if it is worth buying a beautiful handset, efficient and highly secure but weak in content.

If you do not know, the BlackBerry Messenger to Android and iOS was a resounding success on its release. Besides this unexpected curiosity, something else also drew attention compared to BBM. When the stage is not good, it seems that everything tends to go wrong. With the BlackBerry, this is what is happening: the sale of the company is speculated for some time and the latest financial reports were disastrous, but there seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel with the launch of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) for Android and iOS. Just seemed.

The app has been downloaded over five million times in eight hours, earning the rank of leader in the ranking of services free from the App Store in the United States. Then came the bad phase: reviews “suspects” appeared on Google Play and then the update of iOS 7.0.3, BBM began mysteriously malfunctions and close unexpectedly.

The problem, according to the BlackBerry, is that Apple removed support a font used in BBM without telling anyone, attitude displeased the creators of the app. To fix the situation, the manufacturer went to launch the update 1.0.2 messenger. Besides adding new categories of contact and fix many bugs, it returns stability to the service – at least for now.

BlackBerry App receives tens of praise 'false' on Play Store - Online Info

messaging app BBM left the world and won the BB OS versions for Android and iOS this week. And while the app is good indeed, several reviews have been published on the same page at his Play Store U.S. – a fact that raises some suspicions.

“Thank you, Team BlackBerry. I was waiting for this app. He’s great, is user friendly and flows well “are the standard comments, first noticed by Ars Technica. They thicken the choir of more than 168,000 evaluations to date – which are overwhelmingly positive. It is not known how much the standard texts influenced the result, but it is nonetheless impressive.

After the case of Samsung, can not help but imagine that a tactic similar to the Koreans have been adopted by the BlackBerry. However, the company denies: “We do not approve nor condone such activities,” said a company representative to INFO, regarding reviews sorted by him as “apparently false.” “Furthermore, we are committed to working with Google to resolve this problem.”

One hypothesis is that the incident was a simple request summarize the assessment issued by the application – a ‘Rate Our App “(or” Rate Our App “) pattern that is seen in many free programs.

BBM for Android and iOS – The messaging application has always been a major attraction of the BlackBerry, thanks to stability and security, guaranteed by the system PIN. His arrival to the operating systems “rivals” – even if troubled – was a good surprise, and showed that the company no longer intends to rely only on hardware.

BBM for Android and iOS is still not perfect – lacking resources for voice calls, for example – but already shows a messenger worthy. The interface is really well organized, and the application “flowing well”, as suggested by the standard comments. Allied to the expectations created before the release, this may explain the success of the application, which has been downloaded over 10 million times in two days on both systems.

Application of Blackberry with 10 million downloads - Computerworld Portugal

A new application that opens the BlackBerry platform proprietary messaging systems BBM to Android and Apple was downloaded ten million times in just over 24 hours, announced the Canadian manufacturer. The free application was launched Monday.

With it, users of Android and iOS systems can exchange messages with those using the BBM system, integrated with Blackberry devices. The system notifies users when each message was read and indicates when someone is in the process of responding.

The application also allows you to share photos and other files. There are about 60 million monthly active users of BBM.

After problems relaunches BlackBerry BBM app for iPhone and ... - Techworld

Company had withdrawn messaging app air after “leaking” on the web. Now, iOS and Android users will have to get in line to use virtual service.

The BlackBerry is once again trying to launch messaging service BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) for iOS and Android devices, version after a “leaked” the application require the Canadian company to discontinue no release around one month.

In a post on his official blog, the company says that the BBM application will appear in stores and Google Play App Store on Tuesday, 22/10 – to get the download links, just directly access the shops and get the app or go www.bbm.com.

But most eager users will have to wait a bit until they actually start sending and receiving messages. To cope with demand, the BlackBerry says it is implementing a queuing system, and users need to inform an e-mail to book a place in that queue after installing the application. Who have already done this in advance with registration bbm.com not need to wait in line.

For those who do not remember, BBM has been a unique feature of BlackBerry smartphones, allowing users to send messages between them without needing to spend with operators.

However, recently other applications like WhatsApp and Viber provided similar features between platforms. Not to mention other options like iMessage, Apple, which allows for free messaging between iOS devices and Macs.

The queue system seems similar to that used by the well known iOS app email, Mailbox, which was launched amid much noise early in the year. The wait to use the Mailbox reached last for days and even weeks for some users. Hopefully BBM users do not have to wait that long. The BlackBerry says “is focused on moving millions of users in the queue as soon as possible.”

BlackBerry Smartphone Z10: manufacturer received 986 patents last year, 49 percent more than in 2011

Toronto / Washington – Although sales of BlackBerry Ltd. plummeted in recent years, the company continued to create patent , building a wealth of intellectual property that is now central in their efforts to attract buyers.

The smartphone maker, which is in the grips, received 986 patents last year, 49 percent more than in 2011, according to data compiled by the Association of Owners of Intellectual Property. BlackBerry’s patents are worth between $ 1 billion and 3 billion depending on how many have been licensed in the estimate of analysts patent experts.

favor of the Blackberry is the fact that the patents cover technologies similar to the intellectual property of Apple Inc. and that much of the portfolio has only a few years old. In contrast, the market for such assets slowed. Former buyers of patents, such as Apple and Google Inc., have developed extensive patent portfolios agreements two years ago.

“The market is incredibly volatile,” said Ron Laurie, managing director of Inflexion Point Strategy, based in Palo Alto, California, which provides advice on patents to companies. “Everything depends on the demand and the perceived strategic value.”

A higher value of patents would help the company while seeking offers in excess of the tentative proposal of Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd., a U.S. $ 4.7 billion, even if it involves dissolving the BlackBerry to get the most value for their assets.

Apple, whose iPhone is currently the best selling smartphone, the BlackBerry mentions technology 1,295 times in their registration forms patent, as the MDB Capital Group LLC, an investment bank patent, based in Santa Monica, California. The rivals are credited to each other more than any other two American manufacturers of devices. It requires companies to identify the technology to ensure that competitors are not complaining something already patented.

Lisette Kwong, spokesman Blackberry, based in Waterloo, Ontario, and Kristin Huguet, a spokeswoman for Apple, declined to comment.
