A five-year strategic partnership is being announced on Friday, 20 between the BlackBerry and Foxconn, which also caters to Apple and is a global manufacturer of electronic products and components.

It is unclear whether Brazil is among the markets that companies meet. However, the partnership will focus on launching a smartphone that will go down rapidly expanding markets at the beginning of next, besides the Indonesian trade year.

According to the review of John Chen, Executive Chairman and CEO BlackBerry, “through partnership, the BlackBerry address fast growing markets leveraging the efficiency and reach of Foxconn, which allow us to compete more effectively.”

The products will be manufactured for the BlackBerry, by Foxconn , in Mexico and Indonesia factories. The Canadian company will be responsible for quality certification of handsets produced by Asian (as happens now with outsourced suppliers) and owns the intellectual property.

The BlackBerry plans to expand their business enterprise mobility and device management furniture through local solutions to this agreement, including accelerating the adoption of multi-platform BBM (BlackBerry Messenger).
