The meeting aimed to introduce the BlackBerry Parque Tecnológico de Alagoas, which will be built in Jaragua, along with Polo Information Technology, Communication and Services, and the benefits that this project is already bringing to the state, as well as other strategic programs in the area which have placed Alagoas on the national scene in technological innovation. An example of this new moment is the Hand Talk, Alagoas project, chosen by the United Nations as the best social app in the world in 2013, as it allows the simultaneous translation from Portuguese into pounds, the language used by the deaf.
Setton noted that Alagoas live this new moment, which allows BlackBerry develop various partnerships in the State, beyond that already has with UFAL – Federal University of Alagoas. “The BlackBerry has made an important contribution to our state, leading a movement with local entrepreneurs, which has culminated in advances in our industry,” he stressed.
The Secretary reminded the importance of social networks in the growth process of technological innovation in Alagoas allowed because, primarily through Facebook, giving visibility to small and large initiatives and the integration between all sectors directly or indirectly involved with science, technology and innovation. He noted that the Technology Park will provide the necessary support to startups and other companies that are able to capture new projects with state and federal funds, and investment funds, consulting with legal, accounting and project.
