BlackBerry launches service for managing Android and iOS - Corporate Info

Toronto – The BlackBerry launched on Tuesday a service that will allow government agencies and enterprise customers to manage devices with the Android operating system, Google and iOS from Apple.

The new service

Secure Work Space (Space Safe Work) will be administered through the BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) 10, a new support system launched earlier this year that allows customers to monitor BlackBerry mobile devices on their networks internal.

BlackBerry is trying to regain market share lost to Apple and Samsung. To compete, the company launched a trio of devices running its new operating system BlackBerry 10.

The company hopes to win back users with models Z10, Q10 and Q5, revealed earlier this year. The first signs of the success of the recovery plan of the company will be more visible when the company releases quarterly results on Friday.

“With an integrated central management, our customers can see all the devices that are on your network, and manage these devices can also connect them securely,” said David Smith, director of the mobile computing corporate BlackBerry.
