BlackBerry, former RIM (Research In Motion) has recently launched another technology center in Brazil, BB Tech Center, located in the city of São Paulo. The center, part of the academic program of the company, are intended to provide training, space and resources necessary for students to develop new projects and mobile applications.
“Brazil has one of the most active and passionate developer communities in the world, and there have been hundreds of applications to BlackBerry 10 developed here,” he said in a statement Alec Saunders, vice president of developer relations and ecosystem of BlackBerry . “The new Tech Center will host students and entrepreneurs in São Paulo to become experts on the BlackBerry 10 platform and gain knowledge of opportunities in developing mobile applications.”
The new Tech Center is located within the company’s offices in Sao Paulo and will be open every day of the week, in addition to having technical and infrastructure that will support developers in their designs for the new BlackBerry mobile platform.
