Ford will replace Microsoft's system for BlackBerry in cars - Corporate Info

BlackBerry is close to closing a big and important deal for the company, which is in the process of restructuring a few months ago. According to the Bloomberg website, Ford may replace Microsoft and perform a partnership with the Canadian company.

Ford would be dissatisfied with Microsoft, which developed the Sync system – a platform that is activated by voice commands in the company’s cars – and plans to replace it with QNX, the BlackBerry <. / p>

If confirmed, the contract would be very important for restructuring the BlackBerry. Sync system is currently used by more than 7 million cars from Ford.

The change also signals a concussion in relations between Ford and Microsoft.

During Microsoft’s search for a new CEO, the current head of Ford, Alan Mullally, was one of the strongest names considered for the position. Although having said that Mullally would not move from Ford, the announcement that Satya Nadella would be the new CEO of Microsoft has created a tight skirt between the companies.

Moreover, many consumers have complained to Ford about their onboard computers, reporting faults in touch and voice recognition crappy screens.
