Last week, the BlackBerry has released version 10.2.1 of the BlackBerry OS, its operating system for mobile devices. The update brings several features that, according to the company, are designed for the user to “be more productive and stay better connected.”
Among the new features are a new screen for incoming calls which makes it easier to answer a call or respond with a message (via BBM, SMS or e-mail), the ability to send SMS messages and e-mail groups contacts, interactive notifications on the lock (lockscreen) screen, the ability to use an image as a “password” to unlock the device and a menu of customizable quick adjustments.
Moreover, there is a way to “read offline” in the browser, which saves web pages for later reading, the ability to filter as a user-defined messages and notifications on your BlackBerry Hub gesturing “pinch” test on the screen, more accurate monitoring of battery consumption and the impact of apps in use on autonomy, FM Radio (on models Z30, Q10 and Q5), an enterprise security-related features and political system of automatic updating of operating system and new IT, which are enabled in conjunction with BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10 (10 BES).
According to BlackBerry, the update is already being distributed in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America, but delays in distribution may occur due to the accreditation of individual operators. It will be available for all devices running the BlackBerry 10.
